Landscape on the way to Lubbock

Here I am working from one of my photographs I took on the way to Lubbock. I have a thing for storm clouds. I am about done with the sky. There are 4 layers on the sky. The field is painted red because I am going to add some gold embossing to the field. Gold looks better if it is layered on red. Oil painting is good for teaching me patience. I have to wait for layers to dry before painting more, adding gold or a slight bit of glitter. That is why I have 6 paintings going right now. I can work on others while paint dries. Now I am off to work on my cattle, Caprock Canyon, my chandelier and watch all the pregame Super Bowl stuff! Keep posted.
